Alvarado Gardens Neighborhood

Volunteer Opportunities

Getting involved in the neighborhood is a great way to make a positive impact locally. If you’re interested in any of the volunteer opportunities below, or if you have a project idea of your own, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at

AGNA Board Member

We are looking for neighbors to join the AGNA board. Board membership is a two-year commitment, and the board meets four times a year. The board’s nominating committee will contact neighbors interested in serving each winter and voting occurs during the spring annual meeting. Your term as a board member would begin after the annual meeting. As a board member, you’ll get to meet several of your neighbors while learning about and supporting topics important to your community. You may also be involved in planning and hosting an annual meeting in the spring and an annual block party in the fall

Annual Block Party

Interested in helping out for the block party this year? Read the instructions for signing up for volunteer opportunities and then visit the 2019 SignUp page with specific volunteer spots that need to be filled.

Help write thank you notes to donors of block party gifts, to people or businesses that have improved our neighborhood, write stories or articles for our website. The time requirements of this volunteer position will vary throughout the year.
